Kashmir Parts Observe Shutdown To Mourn Militant Killings

Authorities on Tuesday deployed increased number of para-military troops and police personnel in and around Pampore town to prevent protests.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in district Pulwama while as some parts of district Kulgam and Shopian are also observing shutdown to mourn the killing of three militants in 48 hour long EDI encounter.

Reports said that a large number of people offered Jinaza in absentia for the slain militants in Samboora who later resorted to anti India sloganeering.

Bodies of three militants were recovered from EDI encounter site yesterday.

The slain militants identified as foreigners by police were later shifted to Uri for burial.(Agencies)
