Karra visits injured truckers in Safdarjung Hospital

New Delhi: Senior PDP leader and Member Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra Monday visited Safdarjung hospital here to enquire about the welfare of the victims of Udhampur petrol bomb attack.

According to a statement issued to KNS, during his visit to the hospital, Karra was informed by the doctors that both the truckers, Showkat Ahmad Dar and Zahid Ahmad Bhat are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

He was further informed by the doctors that while Showkat has received 30% burn injuries, Zahid has received 60% burn injuries.

Karra also visited the ICU and enquired about the condition of Zahid and Showkat from their family members. He assured the family members of all possible help and assistance while their stay in New Delhi.

He also asked the doctors at the Safdarjung Hospital to provide best possible Medicare treatment to them.

Dr A K Roy, Medical Superintendent Safdarjung Hospital, Dr Karan Aaggarwal, HoD, Burns & Plastic Surgery Ward, Safdarjung Hospital, Dr Rakesh Srivastava, Head of Burns Unit, Dr Rakesh Kain, Specialist Plastic Surgery, DR Rahul Banal and Dr Shaloo Punj briefed Karra about the condition of Showkat and Zahid and the measures being taken by them to ensure early recovery of the duo.

The two injured drivers suffered grievous burn injuries while their truck was attacked with a petrol bomb on Srinagar-Jammu highway near Udhampur last week. (KNS
