JKPCC Pays Rich Tributes to Indira Gandhi

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress held a meeting of prominent party leaders on the occasion of 31Ist death Anniversary of former prime minister of India Indira Gandhi party Headquarters here.

According to a statement of the party issued to KNS, the meeting was presided over by former PCC president Peerzada Mohammad Syed.

Peerzada paid glowing tributes to Gandhi and described her as a symbol of integrity, who has sacrificed her life for the integrity and sovereignty of the Nation.

He said that Madam Gandhi has always worked for uniting India and was committed for strengthening the people. She was instrumental in getting India recognized as one of super power of the world power, the contribution of made Gandhi about strengthening people shall always be remembered, he said.

Describing Indira Gandhi as ‘Iron Lady of the Country’, Peerzada said that she had never compromised on the integrity of the Nation and never allowed any force within or outside country to harm the communal harmony of the Country.

“Before Madam Gandhi every community was equal and deserves equitable development, for the fact She used to treat every section of society equally, he said.

Terming her a visionary and an upright personality, Peerzada said that Gandhi has taken the prestige of the country to the new high heights in the field of defense, science technology, education, she was capable of defeating forces posing threat the integrity of the Country, he said.

Those who addresses the gathering and paid rich tributes to Madam Gandhi included NLC MLCA  Gulam Nabi Monga, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Vice Presidents, Usman Majeed, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Farooq Andrabi, Surinder Singh Channi, Khemlata Wakhloo, Shameema Iqbal, Abid Kashmiri, Irfan Naqib, Abdul Gani Khan, Haji Farooq Mir, Mohd Sultan, Haji Ali Mohd Bhat, Dr. Syed Ahmad.
