The Police Chief of Jammu and Kashmir asked parents of militants to ask their sons shun the path of violence. The DGP SP Vaid assured of all possible support for the rehabilitation of those youth who shall give up arms and join the mainstream. Vaid, ever since assumed the charge of DGP has reiterated his all possible support to the boys who have joined the militant ranks and want to give up arms and return to the normal life.

“Today once again I urge to the families to appeal to their boys who have taken the wrong path to leave the path of violence & (and) come home,” the DGP wrote on Twitter.

“It is highly unfortunate & painful to see loss of life. @JmuKmrPolice promises to provide all possible assistance including rehabilitation (sic),” Vaid added. According to Him (DGP), “This could be the way, to sack out the slain families from humiliation they have been thrown into,” adding that “It is highly unfortunate & painful to see loss of life. @JmuKmrPolice promises to provide all possible assistance including rehabilitation (sic),” Vaid said.
Pertinently, the valley has seen surge in militancy in last several years and local youths have been joining the ranks disturbingly.
