The government has asked people to stay alert in low lying areas amid looming threat of floods in valley. However, the divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan urged people not to be panic since all arrangements have been made to meet any exigency.

However, the rising water level in the river Jehlum in South Kashmir has triggered panic among people. At Sangam the water level is constant. Meanwhile, the weatherman reports a significant improvement in weather from tonight.
“Till today late evening there are chances of rainfall but later atnight the weather will improve,” he told The Legitimate.
