Expressing his deep concern and anguish over the announcement of 25 years imprisonment by a Egyptian court to the first ever democratically elected President of Egypt Dr. Mohammad Mursi, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that it is the murder of justice and said that no circumstantial evidences were produced in the said court to prove Dr. Mursi’s crime.
In a statement issued to KNS, Geelani said that the president Mohammad Mursi is being punished for being a true Muslim and it is an international conspiracy hatched by America, Zionist forces and their local sympathizers in Egypt.
Geelani said that the way the Muslim Brotherhood leaders and activists are being executed and prosecuted in Egypt is very alarming situation and for the world community and the human rights organizations it is a time to think that how true are they in their claims of supporters of justice and democracy.
