Srinagar: Independent MLA Engineer Abdul Rashid and BJP MLA Ravinder Raina came to blows almost over the controversy on beef ban on Monday during ongoing autumn session of the legislative Assembly.
Soon as proceedings of the legislative assembly started opposition, National Conference and Congress members stood up demanding discussion of beef ban, rehabilitation of flood victims and tax on pilgrimage.
The protesting members stormed the well of the house and were raising slogans against the PDP- BJP government.
MLA Langate, who had already jumped in the well, had heated argument with the MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina. Both were witnessed exchanging arguments with each other.
Both legislators came close and tried to manhandle each other, however, marshals present there gripped Rashid and took him away. On other side BJP legislators and ministers who were seated besides Raina pacified him to cool down the situation. (KNS)
