Education Department Likely To Establish 800 ICT Labs: Farooq Shah

The Secretary Education Farooq Ahmad Shah on Monday assured that department is planning to establish 800 ICT labs in the state to enhance the technological improvements and advancements in the field of education.

The secretary education stated this at Directorate of School Education Kashmir during a workshop organized by the Department in collaboration with internationally renowned NGO, Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, US.

He added that it is very necessary to make students aware of the latest inventions, educational technology, and global changes.

During the workshop, Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo said that personality development and making students acquainted with the latest technology is the need of the hour.

On the other hand many teachers have been trained through video conferences by the NGO for the last few months. During the workshop many renowned and expert teachers from various districts received training from experts of international repute regarding the personality development of students and providing them with a quality education, Secretary expressed.

Joint directors Abid Hussain, Suraya Akhter, Mehboob Hussain, Suraya Bano, chief education officer Srinagar Mudasir Kaleem Fazili, various Principals from Srinagar district and trainees from different districts of the valley were also present on the occasion.
