JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh today said that necessary instructions have already been passed to concerned officers for providing hassle free services viz electricity, water, sanitation during holy days of Navratras.

Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with various deputations which met him, here.

Dr. Singh said that several meetings have already been held to review arrangements being put in place during holy days which were attended by officers from various departments including PHE, PDD, Housing and Urban development, CA&PD in which clear directions have been given to concerned to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience.

Deputy Chief Minister further said that people should maintain liaison with the concerned departments to ensure that they get requisite services and that bottlenecks if any with respect to deliverance of the same could be redressed within shortest possible time. He said that special instructions have been passed to CA&PD officers to provide requisite supply of essentials like rice, atta, sugar, k-oil and LPG etc so that people do not face any difficulty.

Dr. Singh further said that requisite instructions have also been given to PDD to ensure that consumers get rationalized supply of power during holy days. He said that Housing and Urban development Department has also been asked to ensure that adequate sanitation measures and cleanliness drive are undertaken.
