Srinagar: Kashmiri doctors Tuesday called on PDP President Mehbooba Mufti to apprise her about the prevailing situation in healthcare and the reasons that have deteriorated patientcare in hospitals.
The doctors’ delegation was headed by President Doctors Association Kashmir Dr Nisar Ul Hassan and comprised of other persons from the health sector.
The doctors told the PDP president that the government must immediately ban private practice by government doctors as “it is the mother of all evils in health care” in the state.
They also appealed her to remove those reemployed in the health sector.
The delegation also requested the PDP head to reinstate the Dr Nisar Ul Hassan who was suspended from his service last year.
Sources said that Mehbooba listened to the delegation cordially and assured them that their demands and suggestion to improve the health care will be considered in a holistic way. (KNS)
