Bijbehara massacre glaring example of Indian state sponsored violence: Malik

 

yasinSrinagar: Chairman JKLF who was arrested along with Hurriyat leader Javed Ahmad Mir and Muhammad Amin Mugloo while coming about of Soura Medical Institute yesterday is still in police custody and despite being ill has not yet been taken to any doctor or hospital, front spokesman said in a statement issued to KNS.

He said that KLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakshi also continues to remain under house arrest while as JKLF activists Muhammad Ramzam Sofi and Hafizullah Sofi have been arrested by police from their residences at Zainakot HMT.

Spokesman while condemning the continuous incarceration of ailing JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and not providing him any medical facilities. “Yasin sahib was going to see a doctor for his injured neck when he was arrested by police at Soura. For the whole night Yasin Malik was in pain but police at the behest of callous rulers of Jammu Kashmir refused to provide him any medical facility,” he said.

Spokesman said that this cold blooded approach of PDP led government that too with a political leader is another glaring example of its mental bankruptcy and cruel approach. Spokesman warned authorities that if any harm is done with Yasin sahib, responsibility will remain on their shoulders only.

Meanwhile incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the brutal use of force against Shia mourners who tried to take out Muharram processions at Lal Chowk Thursday.

While terming ban imposed on Muharam processions, curfew, restrictions, arrests and nocturnal raids as mark of frustration and highhandedness of rulers, JKLF chairman said that stopping people from performing their religious activities is condemnable and using force against peaceful mourners could only be termed as state sponsored terrorism.

While remembering Bijibihara martyrs whose martyrdom day is also being observed today, Yasin Malik said that Bijbihara massacre is a glaring example of Indian state sponsored violence. He said that Firing on innocent and unarmed people and killing hundreds of people is a crime that Indian leadership will have to repent on one day.

He said that Bijebihara martyrs laid down their lives for truth .They stood in front of Indian aggression and faced Indian bullets but never showed any signs of cowardice. He said that massacres like that at Bijibehara, Batamaloo by-pass, Gawkadal, Sailan Poonch, Baderwah, Zakoora and other places are glaring examples of Indian oppression in Kashmir. These massacres have exposed the ugly face of Indian democracy and also remind us about the sacrifices rendered by kashmiris for the just cause of independence of Jammu Kashmir.

Speakers said that Indian forces repeated Jalyanwala type massacres many times in Kashmir but could not break the will and zeal of people of Kashmir . he said that the struggle of Kashmiris stands stronger despite these barbaric and oppressive measures and will continue till the achievement of the desired goal.
