While appealing people of Islamabad assembly constituency to reject PDP, NC and Congress parties in upcoming by-election, Engineer Rasheed on Sunday said, “Let Mehbooba Mufti answer how she dared to say after meeting Manohar Parikar after Handwara killings that we should provide ex-gratia to the deceased as according to her those who get killed in Kashmir are from poor families. By saying so she has not only insulted whole nation but added salt to the injuries of families of Handwara massacre.”
Addressing a public meeting at Kehribal Islamabd, MLA Langate Er Rasheed expressed surprise over enthusiasm shown by NC and Congress with regards to by-election in Islamabad assembly constituency and said that Congress and NC need to learn that Kashmiris have rejected them in 2014 elections and both these parties are responsible not only for creation of Kashmir dispute but also for every killing, atrocity or whatsoever has been taking place in Kashmir since 1947.
As per a party statement, Er Rasheed has said, “People of Islamabad can make a history by showing Mehbooba Mufti backdoor in the upcoming election and if it doesn’t happen it means owning BJP-PDP alliance the same way the people of Kashmir committed a historic blunder in 1977 by voting Sheikh Abdullah despite his shameless surrender through Indra-Abdullah Accord in 1975. Let people show maturity as rejecting Mehbooba will mean rejecting RSS and Sang Parivar and by rejecting NC and Congress the politics of pseudo secularism will come to an end.”
Engineer Rasheed has also questioned government to come clean over reports of providing temporary shelter to non-state subjects and added “Lakhs of such people are already here without any proper record or reason and warned government that Kashmiris will not allow any such shelters for non-state subjects.”(Agencies)
