Awami Action Committee (AAC) today urged people of Kashmir to maintain united and foil any nefarious designs of government against the ongoing movement.

In a statement issued to media AAC expressed serious concern over the “imposition of curfews, restrictions, killing, blinding and maiming of innocent Kashmiris” by the forces and police.

The participants said the human rights violations have become the norm of the day from the past three and half months of uprising in Kashmir:

“The forces were using every brute method to sSuppress the struggle in Kashmir, and the recent incident of ransacking of houses and beating residents of Nagbal Shopian and Tengpora Batamaloo is highly condemnable.”

They said the statement was issued from some undisclosed location due to curbs and restrictions over the movement of separatists and on their headquarter at Mirwaiz Manzil Srinagar.

AAC said during the meeting, the participants took a detailed view of the ongoing political situation in Kashmir.

Despite such wanton sufferings, statement quoting AAC meet participants said, “Kashmiris have uniformity in their approach to take the struggle forward to its logical end.”

While expressing their gratitude to chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq “for figuring among the five most influential Muslim leaders of South Asia in the list of 500 Muslims leaders prepared by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre Jordan across the globe”,  they said  the people of Kashmir were feeling proud over Mirwaiz’s achievement.

In the “broader interest of struggle”, statement said the participants “made it clear” that Hurriyat (M) chief and head of AAC, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq played an instrumental role in creating “the unity alliance of Hurriyat and pro-Kashmir leaders by extending hands to both Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mohamamd Yaseen Malik”.

“The aim of the unity alliance is to take the Kashmir struggle forward and find the solution of Kashmir issue for which people have offered their blood.”

Despite use of force by the state, it adds “Kashmiris are steadfastly following the calendars and programs issued by the united Hurriyat leadership.”

The participants stated that the united leadership has not just rattled the pro-Indian parties, but it has become a cause of worry and nightmare for the anti-Kashmir and anti-movement elements.

“These anti-movement forces have come together and are now actively indulging in negative propaganda to mislead people by extensively using media outlets for their nefarious designs,” it reads further.

They  appealed people, to exhibit unity and resolve, to remain alert and “foil the evil designs of such forces” who are using media and other sources to mislead people and harm the programs of united leadership.
