Eight CRPF men and two militants got killed after militants stormed into the CRPF convoy on highway today evening at Pampore in South Kashmir.
Reports said that the militants carried out the fidayeen attack on the moving convoy of CRPF and shot dead five of their men including an officer. Later three more CRPF men succumbed to injuries in hospital during treatment.
However, in the gun fight later two militants responsible for the attack were also killed in the retaliatory fire. The incident occurred at Nambalbal Pampore in south Kashmir.
22 more CRPF men were also injure in the daring attack by militants, said CRPF spokesman, Bhavesh Choudhury.
He, however, fears that death toll may mount as many of their men are critically injured in the attack
